Sooo....plantar fasciatis. It has been getting me down for some time and I thought I could exercise through the pain. Maybe it would get used to my exercise and relax or something. The problem is that I will do a two mile walk and then not be able to walk normally after that. Even though I'm a little freaked about doing this, I'm going to take some time off walking. I'm taping my foot to help relieve some stress on it and it's helping a lot. I will give it a week or so then see how this works. The problem is what to do in the meantime. I have enjoyed my walks so much! I could bust out the old bicycle but that's a bit too intimidating right now. What I plan on doing for now is lower my calories by 200 (brings me to about 1700 cal a day) and see how things go.
The thing that stinks is the timing of this. My weight loss of only one pound last week kinda messed me up for a bit. I have been watching my calories, walking, doing the right things and I'm not seeing huge results. Sean and I bounced back and forth ideas of why that is and we landed on what we think may be the culprit - hormones. I had a full hysterectomy about a year ago and am not taking hormones. I don't have hot flashes or any other symptoms any more but as soon as my insurance kicks in I will go get my blood work done.

AuthorMy name is Kat and I'm a single mom of two young adults. I have not always been overweight but after having children and going through some personal hurdles, let it get out of control. My philosophy about eating is this: Eat real food. Real eggs, butter, veggies. Eliminating processed junk as much as possible. I eat butter, not faux butter product because I believe my body can better process real food rather than chemicals. Archives
