From my obvious absence of posts it is plain to see that starting the new job has certainly put a wrench into the weight-loss works. What I did wrong: I gained 3 lbs. over the past 3 weeks, didn't log a single day of food or exercise and basically fell off the wagon. What I did right: Packed lunches or chose low calorie options at restaurants, remembered I was trying to lose weight, used stairs when possible.
The hardest part is getting started again. I'm convinced it takes planning and logging. I miss the exercise too! The plantar fasciaitis is still bothering me so as soon as my insurance kicks in I'm going to go see a doctor. I'm sure the combo of planning, logging and moving will be the keys to my success. While moving much isn't an option; I'm making out the menu for the week today, packing lunch for tomorrow, and bringing a notebook to log my day until I can get on Lose-it again. OH! I just decided I'm taking my motivational mirror to work to hang in my cubicle. I had it in front of my treadmill but I think it will be more helpful at work. I put scripture verses and goals on there. Hm, maybe I should put it in my kitchen. Both places would be good. Anyway - I'm not giving up on my goal. Very sad I went a few pounds backward but it is what it is. My big goal is ahead of me and want to wear a size 18 in July. We'll see what happen

AuthorMy name is Kat and I'm a single mom of two young adults. I have not always been overweight but after having children and going through some personal hurdles, let it get out of control. My philosophy about eating is this: Eat real food. Real eggs, butter, veggies. Eliminating processed junk as much as possible. I eat butter, not faux butter product because I believe my body can better process real food rather than chemicals. Archives
